SOLUTION:

Establish a consolidation center that could process the various shippers in a tight timeline to meet the delivery schedule. Coordination of line haul into Houston was critical to manage as turnaround time at the warehouse was limited. After receipt, inspection and sub-assembly in Houston, materials were moved to market locations in support of delivery schedules that were fluid up to 8 hours before delivery to site.

Scope of Service:

  • Provide Project manager for each specific market project
  • Establish market warehouse locations centralized to provide ease of transportation accessibility
    • Warehouse to receive/inspect inbound shipments
    • Warehouse to provide inventory reports indicating:
      • Item number
      • Item description
      • Item serial number
      • Quantity received
      • Units of measure
  • Provide linehaul transportation services from Client mfg. facilities and vendors to warehouse
  • Provide monthly inventory reports indicating:
    • On Hand Quantities
    • Historical data
      • Receipt date
      • Release date
      • Release order number
      • Consignee information
  • Provide detailed pre-delivery survey to determine delivery requirements
  • Provide delivery service to destination site:
    • Provide 2 man crew to assist in unload/inside delivery/unpack/remove packaging
    • Assist installer with positioning of equipment
    • Provide necessary equipment to deliver items
      • Liftgate straight trucks
      • Off road vehicles to access rough terrain
      • Dollies/carts/pallet jacks
      • Cranes when needed
      • Helicopters to access difficult to reach tall structures
    • Provide verbal delivery confirmation information with 2 hours of delivery.
    • Provide documented POD with 24 hours of delivery
  • Provide weekly status reports of site status including
    • Equipment received
    • Equipment in transit
    • Delivery schedule
    • Delivery confirmation report
